Dehydration and Menstruation
Being hydrate helps benefit your body in many ways such as giving you energy, preventing kidney stones, and helps improve sleep, cognition, and your mood. It has been determined by the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine that the adequate amount of fluid a women should intake daily is 11.5 cups (2.7 Liters). During a woman’s menstrual cycle, it is recommended that she drinks an additional two cups of water a day to ensure she is staying properly hydrated.
